  1. More than what I expected and I expect A LOT 5 Star Review

A 72 thinline telecaster modified into a baritone djent metal monster - impossible you say? Not true - the definition and clarity of the SD wide range humbucker managed to maintain the edge and punch one would expect from a telecaster while still being hot enough to run extremely growly high end distortion without losing tonal integrity- Especially considering the instrument is tuned down to A standard. Even my luthier looked at me askance until it was plugged in. Perfect balance between the lower and upper middle frequencies and no “muddy” low mids and hot enough to play with much “hotter” pick ups - when played clean the chords are crisp and sing with overtones. This pickup absolutely rocks

  3. Chinese Starcaster replacement 5 Star Review

Perfect fit. Sounds are just what I wanted; much hotter and thicker than china versions. Ordered 4-wire and use with coil-split push-pull volume knobs. Think I'll make a warmoth version next! Will use these pickups for sure. Thanks much to y'all at Seymour Duncan Custom Shop!

  4. Good, but.... 3 Star Review

I selected the single conductor option, but recieved the 4 conductor option anyway. I wasn't at all interested in the future use of the 4 conductors, but what annoys me most about it is the tiny gauge wires that were really difficult to solder neatly. When spending this much money on "custom shop" pickups, I was under the impression that I'd get a heavier gauge, cloth-covered wire. Also was sent really long screws (1.25") for mounting the pickups. This pickup is specifically for Tele-deluxe, which is way too shallow for these long screws, so I had to dig out the old pickups and take those mounting screws. The pickups sound pretty good so far, I just wish I would have received nicer wiring and proper mounting hardware.
