It's a very wonderful thing that this sound can be made by a Stratocaster.

I ordered these and have a set of PG Humbuckers in a 1960 RI Les Paul. I also have MJ/SD wound Antiquities and SH-18's in 2 other Les Paul's. They all are great and...
The Strat version somehow retains some of that classic Strat sound when needed and drives the amp when needed as well. I have a "blender" rig on my Strat so the tones you get are just multiplied with these pickups. I would recommend to anyone who's looking to beef up their tone with a multitude of sounds

I have used Seymour Duncan pickups for many years and have them in all of my guitars. Recently, I bought a Texas Roadhouse Strat with cream colored pickups. I wanted to get a Pearly Gates that would match the existing color of the pickups in the guitar, so I called the Custom shop and they advised me to go with a parchment color. The one I recieved was nowhere near the same color, in fact it was white. Rather than complain, I installed it and changed the covers on the other pickups to match. The sound is amazing! I have used JBs and Customs over the years and the Pearly Gates has been added to my list of favorite pickups. The only complaint I have is that it's not the right color and I wish there was a way to correct the problem.
