Product Description

Based on a particularly great sounding set of '59 pickups and wound on our historic Leesona machine that created humbuckers for Gibson back in the 50's and 60's, these classic style humbuckers are specified with Alnico 3 magnets, butyrate bobbins and maple spacers. This offering is a warm and punchy iteration of a desired period accurate piece. These pickups are touch sensitive and offer dynamic response based on a player's attack and technique. If you're looking for a humbucker that matches your vintage expectations but sprinkles in MJ's "magic", these are an excellent choice.

    Very impressed with the pickups. They perform as presented and enjoy the touch sensitive feature to allows a great option to produce the sound I want when playing. Totally worth the wait the price. I put them in a Les Paul type I built and wired using 50,s style wiring and Bumblebee caps. Overall the pickups make the guitar.

    The bridge humbucker is a stadium rocker with plenty of punch but also lots of clarity. The neck sounds very warm and clear and it cleans up with a bell like clarity. The single coil sounds are amazing and very usable making this set very versatile both sounding like a vintage PAF but also a single coil rocker.
