Seymour’s personal favorite Tele combo.
Some pickups get overly dark and or mask a guitar’s true voice. Seymour voiced these special Tele pickups to sound just like the favorites on his original, only quieter.
The tapped bridge pickup uses smooth Alnico 2 magnets, while the untapped reverse-wind/reverse polarity neck pickup has focused Alnico 5 magnets for a complementary tonal balance. Use with a standard Tele 3-way switch and push-pull pot for the tap, or wire it using Seymour’s custom wiring diagram, with a 5 way switch, for maximum tonal options (diagram and 5 way switch included when purchased as a set).

New pickups in a 58 year old Tele???? I must be crazy! The sound is amazing, different from the stock pickups, but the addition of the 5 blade switch and the tapped lead pickup make the palette of tonality very interesting live and in the studio, making this instrument one of the most unique in my arsenal of Fenders.
