The Single Coil P Bass Stack was created for players of the Telecaster bass and similar models. The only downside to the original was the 60-cycle hum, so to combat that we designed ours to have the classic tone of an original ‘50s Telecaster bass but without the extra noise.
The pickup consists of two coils stacked on top of one another with alnico 5 rod magnets. The special wind replicates the best qualities of the original pickups but the lack of noise will free the player of distraction at home, live, and in the studio. 4 conductor wiring also allows for coil tap switching via mini toggle or push/pull pot that can shut off the bottom coil for a volume bump that’s perfect for solos.
Please make sure your bass’ pickup cavity has at least .81” depth.

I have owned a 68 Tele bass for 30 years. Finally it sounds as good as it looks. In the past I tried several different replacement pickups. They all still had the annoying hum of a single coil. After reading a review of this pickup I was a bit sceptical but for $150.00 I figured it was worth a try. It was worth the wait I would highly recomend. Awesome vintage tone with the tone rolled off and a nasty growl with it rolled forward. Thank you Seymour Duncan, Leo would be most pleased.
