"Many factors go into the sound of a real 1959 Sunburst Les Paul, but these pickups will get you the clarity and the growl of this guitar without the wallet-busting price tag of an original 1959. I was immediately impressed by the similarities – the balance between the front pickup and the lead pickup are nearly identical."
This limited edition Joe Bonamassa Skinner Burst dual-humbucker set is the only available replica of the pickups in Joe’s cherished 1959 ‘Principal Skinner’ Gibson Les Paul Standard. Their rich, dynamic and nuanced voice will appeal to all tone connoisseurs who seek the passion and power of the original humbucker. Wound on the historic Leesona machine that created humbuckers for Gibson back in the ‘50s and ‘60s, the set features an Alnico 3 magnet in the neck pickup and an Alnico 3 in the bridge. Each antiqued nickel-silver cover is an exact match to the Principal Skinner guitar pickups, down to the indentations. Period-correct butyrate bobbins and maple spacers offer a vintage vibe to these pickups. Each of the 800 sets will be hand signed by Seymour W. Duncan and Joe Bonamassa.

These PAF's sound and look amazing. They are articulate and rich and really nicely matched. I love the middle position (which I don't use all that often) as it has a really cool quack to it when the volume is rolled back a little. They are really nicely aged as well. Not too contrived or over done. The finish is very natural to my eye.
I cannot recommend these pickups enough.
Thanks MJ and the team. I'll be looking for a set of P90's soon I think :)
